Underfloor Heating, Installed Right

Underfloor heating delivers a level of comfort that radiators simply can’t match — even, gentle warmth rising from the floor with no hot spots or cold corners. We install both wet (water-fed) and electric systems, advising on the best type for your property, floor construction, and budget.

From a single bathroom to a whole-house installation, we handle every element including manifolds, thermostats, and commissioning, leaving you with a fully tested, ready-to-use system.

Our Underfloor Heating Services

Wet or electric, new build or retrofit — we cover every aspect of underfloor heating installation.

Wet UFH Installation

Water-fed pipe systems embedded in screed or clipped to insulation boards — the most efficient long-term solution for whole-house heating.

Electric UFH Installation

Slim heating mats ideal for bathrooms and kitchen retrofits with minimal floor build-up. Quick to install and perfect where wet systems aren’t practical.

Manifold Installation

Supply and fit of UFH manifolds, flow controls, and actuators — the heart of any wet system, installed and set up for zone-by-zone control.

Thermostat & Controls

Smart and standard thermostats fitted and programmed for each zone, including app-controlled options for remote scheduling and monitoring.

System Commissioning

Full pressure testing, flow balancing, and heat-up protocol so your floor reaches operating temperature correctly and the screed cures without damage.

UFH Fault Diagnosis

Investigating and repairing faults in existing systems including no heat, zone failures, pump issues, and thermostat faults — without unnecessary floor disruption.

More Efficient

Wet UFH runs at lower water temperatures than radiators, making it an ideal partner for modern condensing boilers and heat pumps — lower bills, year after year.

More Space

No radiators on your walls means more freedom for furniture placement, a cleaner look, and easier decorating — particularly valuable in kitchens and bathrooms.

Works With Any Floor

Compatible with tile, stone, wood, laminate, and carpet. We’ll advise the right system depth and insulation for your specific floor finish.

Underfloor Heating Questions Answered

Wet systems circulate warm water through pipes embedded in the floor and connect to your boiler — cheaper to run long-term and ideal for larger areas or whole-house installs. Electric systems use heating mats or cables powered by your mains supply — lower installation cost, simpler to fit in retrofits, and best suited to smaller rooms like bathrooms. We’ll recommend the right type based on your property and how you plan to use it.
In most cases, yes. A wet UFH system connects to your existing boiler just like radiators do. Modern condensing boilers are particularly well-matched because UFH runs at lower flow temperatures. We’ll assess your current boiler’s output to confirm it can handle the additional load, and advise on any upgrades if needed.
It depends on the system type. Electric mats add as little as 3–4 mm. Wet systems using low-profile overlay boards add around 15–25 mm. Traditional screed installations add more but are typically used in new builds where the floor level can be planned around the system. We’ll walk you through the options and implications for doors and thresholds before any work begins.
An electric mat system in a single bathroom can be done in a day. A wet system covering multiple rooms typically takes 3 to 5 days for the pipework and manifold, after which the screed needs 4 to 6 weeks to fully cure before the floor covering goes down.
